Hi, I'll be using a laptop for work with Windows 7. How much difference is there between Windows 7 and XP? Also, does anyone know where I can get a braille reference guide? I didn't get one with my last updates of Jfw, cause they were SMA updates. In the meantime, I'll check the Jaws website for any downloadable instructions. I'd ideally like to have a braille one for very quick reference. Any suggestions?

For Jaws the guide is in the help section of Jaws Insert J or on a laptop that doesn't have a full keyboard caps lock J or just go to Jaws. Go to help then training and you can read all you want in their. For windows 7 is is different, and not different depending on how it is setup. It's easy to make it look like you want. If is has not been changed find the getting started guide in the start minue, but mainly just playing with it will teach you much about it. It forgiving, and you use the same key strokes to control it as you do XP if you are a compadent Jaws user you'll be fine.Microsoft.com and type in Windows 7 and you can read much about it as well. I just think if you use it like you own it you'll learn about it, but if you feel like it's going to be a major change you'll hold yourself back.

I second the last posters views and will add my own. I suggest you get very aqanted with the search box on win7 start menu because its your firend well, I think. yes you can arrow around and jump from program to program va pressing a series of letters. just remember to navagate out of the search box.

Okay great, I'll check under the Jaws help section. A lot of my work will be web-based, so I'm not horribly worried, but I jus wanna make sure I can use the program well.

Okay, I guess I'm looking for a guide that's more descriptive of Windows 7, excluding Jaws. I'll take a look at Microsoft's website.
